Copied from WWW.Myswag.org, Thought there maybe somebody in the Bundaberg area that could help him

http://www.myswag.org/index.php?topic=51364.0;topicseen

Hi all, am currently camping at kinkuna south of Bundaberg and yesterday afternoon stupid me decided to take my wedding ring off to chop wood. Me being a silly male forgot to put it back on and yep lost it in the sand.

Needless to say the wife is not impressed with my efforts and after going over the area with a rake a thousand times it seems the sand monster has my balls in his hands.

If by any chance there is someone in the area with a metal detector and could offer some help, it would be most appreciated.

Cheers Annie and Andy could be soon just Andy lol

Cheers Keith

I,m not far from Bundy, If you could get me his number I might be able to help.

Had a great day, very satisfying to help Andy and his wife Anne and a good excuse to get the kids out of the house.
So glad I was able to find the ring, they are lovely people and really appreciated our help.
White gold is a solid 26 on the 705 if anyone is interested.

Well done Daggy. Everyone on the forum with a 705 are swelling with pride. How far down was the ring and was it a big search area. Any pics?

Keith, it's something I've always wanted to do, adds some meaning to the hobby if you know what I mean.
I felt like thanking them for the opportunity to help, it was as good for me as it was for them.

Darren

Thanks Jaros and Mackka.

It was only a few mm's under the sand, as soon as I put the pinpointer on it the edge popped up.
The area wasn't big but I was racing my daughter who has a gofind-40 so you can imagine the stress I was under lol.
It didn't take long but we stayed for a few hours (Andy had beer) and the kids had a bit of a play on the beach.
No pics sorry.
