nope .that does nothing for me

i could be wrong but i think the centrifugal action would send gold to the outside of the bucket .

i think his result is random except for the super fine " nano" gold which goes to the center due to the lower density in the centre of the whirlpool

Yes you are wrong, it does work, try it for yourself.
Put a bit of black sand & gold in a pan full of water & give it a swirl get a good vortex going, when the water slows you will see a nice pile of heavies in the centre of your pan, think about it like this, the centre of your pan or bucket acts like the inside bend of a creek.

I tried it out and i didn't have much success with it apart from ruining a good bucket. I think that i didn't classify the material enough maybe?

Turbo Pan uses the same priniple. All the gold no matter how fine ends up in the center cons catcher. I am not sure if his suggesyion of putting all the cons ina bucket and reprocessing would be the best recovery method. I have recovered some sub 30 gold.. that was difficult.
All the small material gets in the way. I ended up drying the -30 cons spreading on a black grided cutting mate I bought from kmart for $3 and using a loupe and small nail file to seperate the gold.
Here is the pic of the very fine gold that was covered in black sand when I took my Turbo Pan out for the first time. The white cap is aprox 11 mm diameter to give you an idea on what the turbo pan can catch
Not saying this Two Bucket Method wont work. Just saying there are more efficient ways

The gold in the pan was recovered, the black sand was then futher processed back in the ManLab the second pic is the sub 30 mesh gold I recoverd from this black sand.

I'm going to give it the thumbs up. I recovered a very small amount of flour gold from a tailings pile that had been previously thrashed to death, and now I'm keen to head back up the creek to dig some more concentrates and give the method a good run. I'm not saying it is for everyone, but for me it was a major time saver. The key I think is good classification into various grades. I graded my pile into 100, 50, and 30 mesh. Once that was done, I ran it (a little more than 10 litres) through the buckets in probably 15 minutes total (including drinks stops). That left me with less than a cup of each grade to pan.
There was one speck in the 30 mesh for me, and 9 nano specks (using my voile). So in summary, it saved me days (in comparison to my normal method of classifying then panning) because it concentrates any gold into the bottom of the little cup. And not bad considering I thought the pile was barren....
I set mine up differently to the video though. I pre-filled the bottom bucket with water so it didn't create a massive suction when I pulled the cup out to empty it. To get all of the left overs out before re-filling I just gave it another swirl with the cup out and it all falls through to the bottom.

hi m8 whats a manlab ? is it for recovering fine gold ???

I cant see how this would be more effective than panning myself, but thats the thing about opinions they are like assholes everyone's got one.

What a waste of time a turbo pan works quicker and I would not even use one of them.... :D
