They put stuff up on their YouTube channel. it is also on pay TV i think?
My brother likes to watch that. He's got the pay channels. Can't remember which one it's on. I like the ones in Alaska.

Our 5 year old grandson Harvey lives for Meat Eater :) reminds me of Charlie (now 16) watching Bear Grylls. I have no doubt young Harvey will be delivering us a parcel of venison, rabbit, fish and anything else he can get his hands on in the years to come :perfect: :power: Nothing wrong with learning how to cull and process your own tucker properly :Y:

Anyone else enjoy the show meat eater?

Why would a hippy like a show like that?

I like that bipod/shooting sticks he uses, never seen that style for sale.
You can save your self some money and make your own. I made two after watching this tutorial. A small one for sitting and a tall one for a standing shot. Very effective :Y: https://www.google.com/url?sa=t&sou...BMAN6BAgBEA4&usg=AOvVaw1N9G2L0bJyO5-owofYBSzn

Charlie and Clancy started using these about 10 years ago when learning to shoot, very effective for keeping the rifle steady when learning. They don't use them nowadays unless it's a long shot and their in the open on foot.

I use them out the back of my house at night. Every so often I have a random look out of my back door with the spotty. The house is on a spur line and the back lawn looks over the valley where foxes often make there way up the paddock. Saves me lying down on the wet grass in my pyjamas. Very civilised :playful:

Thanks Goldfreak and RM.

The ones this fellow has actually mount to the front eyelet where you normally mount a bipod.
When using a bipod you want a little bit of preload, that's something you can't get with shooting sticks.
Look here @6.5 min https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=73_XG-rjjJU
I'd love to know what brand that is.

I like using a bipod if I can, anything to make the shot as steady, humane as possible is better IMO, past 300 I would't take a shot without some kind of rest.
These look good for when you are shooting downhill.

To me, it looks like they film eating a tiny bit of their kill to justify their actions.
Basically (IMHO), they just love the hunt and the kill.
Would be interested to see a show where they are the prey and how they think/react to being hunted.
I know I'll get hammered here, so fill your boots guys (and gals)......

Lol that's called the army.

Kinda like the movies predator or running man big wave?

I think the way they hunt for their meat supply is more human than factory farming meat.

The hunted animal gets to live its life out in the wild and wouldn't know the hunter is stalking it until a well placed bullet punchers its lungs. It then dies within a minute.

Factory farming is horrendous and a life of misery for the animals.

Some people have that hunter instinct, some don't, I know my son doesn't have it so I'll never try to push him in that direction, but don't forget it's not that many centuries ago we pretty much all survived from very basic circumstances.
For thousands of years we survived as hunter gatherers, now the woke crowd from the greens/left want to re educate and change our DNA.
Sorry you just can't change a species like humans in a matter of a couple of centuries.
Just like a cat will hunt even though it's well fed, it's just their instincts to survive.

I haven't seen the show and not in a rush to see it.

When I hunt for a feed it's humane and I use every bit of the animal possible when I hunt to control pests it's humane. There's no reason for cruelty I don't accept it just like everyone else. I choose who I hunt with and don't bother with expanding this small group.

Each to their own BigWave no offence taken no offence intended.
