Strangely enough nor can I in a search. Maybe I'm missing something. Did the upload and changed settings to public. I'll try and figure this out before this weekend has finished. No gold star for me just yet.
Found it works. Go figure. Can't do back links but searched under "trommel test goldtarget" and I can view it, email notification came go through from YouTube to say it was up.

i just watched the link posted, worked for me

just a question tho, is the trommel meant to be rotating as fast as it is, or does it just 'look' fast in the video?

The oldtimers used puddlers when there was lots of good ground and they moved tons. GT that thing'll move acres of ground and in it I hope you make a million$. But can I ask, does that constitute legal? [If not keep it quiet.] Or are you guys registered prospectors? [There's a difference between fossickers and prospectors and the tools we use - Is that right?]

Kinda both Jamie. It's hard to hear but in testing the throttle was wide open. If it's to fail then it will be when it's working hard. This video was only a couple hours after primer, new toy and all, just fitted some temporary spray bars and ran some dirt I had laying around.

Tassie Daz legal in victoria as long as no mechanical loading, hand tools only.
You could pull a nuclear fusion powered super plant around as long as you load it by hand.
But yes it is a mid size production trommel, that sits on an 8x5 trailer. Full credit to the guy who brought it to life, he definitely encouraged me into it from the get go.

Got me thinking along those lines too.
.
I could imagine the Headlines,
"Nuclear Power Plant Installed To Process New Gold Mine Operation"
.
Bega Green ones would faint with Horror. PMSL

thanks for the reply Goldtarget, i was watching from behind my counter at work, so i had the volume fairly low so customers didn't disturb me lol, but i do like it mate, well thought out bit of kit, just wish nanny state NSW would allow me to have one to play with without the cost of opening my own mine site

That is one good looking machine, I thought I heard a rumble in the distance the other night, must have been that machine. Hope you get heaps of the colour. Cheers Max

Labour or materials?
If I was charged at proper equipment build rates by the engineer (everything new and fabricated as it was in this build) pretty close to the GPZ.
You could perhaps build a similar size for less but the thought and detail and materials in this puts it up there. It's a one off so a bit of a jigsaw to put it together and there's alot of time there spent in the engineers head not just a case of measure and make.

What I paid for it was at a price to bring it to life and for that I am thankful I could not build this.

It's a bit like highbankers, if you have the skill and materials not expensive at all to get going.
If you go to an engineers and use good quality materials new the price can seem expensive.

Just the belts ss bolts and rods to weld might have been enough to buy a banker!

Said goodbye to my baby last night.....sad day. Still a bit torn but hard to justify keeping it when I was barely using it. Thanks for all the interest guys.
