Ok I got a question for you, and I'll open this up for discussion, cause I have no idea

I have a sampling trailer, this has been stripped for rebuild right now, however

Currently

Now it has a 3600mm trommel on top with 2400mm length 12mm screen which is driven by a stepped 240v electric motor feeding a 2400mm sluice. The unit has a 3" trash pump to feed the holding tank and the sluice, and the trommel has 36 high pressure variable degree pressure spray's with a triple reverse helix. The trommel has a 240v 1150 psi triplex pump to feed the pressure sprays. The sluice is equipped with a vibrator.

Option 1, under consideration add a rock crusher to end of trommel tube, with a conveyor fee line crusher back to hopper.

Option 2, under consideration Bucket elevator, allowing the loading at ground level, continuous multi bucket, endless loop feed.

Option 3, Confirmed, canvas sides with elevator for quick erection, add shade.

The unit runs of a diesel generator.

Ok lets have it, what states under prospecting laws does it become illegal.

why so much trommel length all the same size ?

unless youre feeding it with a 30 tonne excavator then 1000 mm long of screen in a <6 mm , another 1000 mm of <20 mm screen and if you want to get fancy about it the plus 20 could shoot out over a rubber conveyor with a metal detector that triggers a flashing light or siren ?.

run two sluices , at least 2000 mm long for the <6 and 3000 mm long with nugget trap for the <20

is the reverse helix used in a primary stage in the first 1200 - 1600 mm or so ? , if so then what is the helix set up to retain ? , will it lift nuggets as big as 6 mm in which case the <6 mm screen might be superfluous , or will it only lift fines ?

re bucket conveyor , isnt the whole thing too big to be loading with a shovel ? , if you have an excavator / bobcat or wheel loader to feed it with then its illegal unless its on an approved EL

reduce the whole thing by 75 % in scale and it will be low enough to the ground to feed with a shovel

the size youre describing suits a 13 tonne - 30 tonne excavator or 8 - 12 tonne wheel loader

as soon as you use a machine to excavate its illegal in every state :)

Agree with HeadsUp, why the need for such a big unit, you would never keep up with a shovel.
