Hippy, did you/have you listened to him sing The Sound of Silence all the way thru.
Although it starts softly, I think it becomes a power ballad.
He may not be a Roy Orbison, & may have a raspy voice, but so does Neil Diamond!
All in all, appreciation of music & voices is very much a personal taste. each to their own.
