Cleaned up the 3d and the 1/2 Penny from the 4th of June hunt.
1943 3d.
1st it went into CAB overnight, and came out like this.
Then, I used Electrolysis, but, I made the mistake of cleaning the gator clip with the brass wire brush then dipping the brush into the solution to clean the brush, with all the rust type stuff still floating in solution I hit the switch and ended up with this.
So I used Bicarb to clean it up next, did alright fairly quickly too, cept you can tell where the black sat before(trick of the light, the black bit is actually shining more than the rest, so it looks different).
The 1922 halfpenny from that hunt also had a surprise in store for me, it turned out to be a 1927 HP.
Was in good nick when dropped, just a pity that they don't hold their ground against the elements like silver does over time.
