You build up lots of scraps making toys, so I thought Id turn the tables and use scraps to make some toys. Largest piece in these is 70mm x 19 x 19, smallest piece is 16mm x 16mm x 3mm

Gold Bottle Holding Block.

The idea behind this block is to hold my bottle while I am transferring your gold from bottle to bottle especially after drying the gold and or after weighing of the gold. How you make the block, this will be shown in the below photos.
The first photo was what I was using, then I thought i can do better than that, which I feel I achieved. As they say it works for me and I do hope it will work as well for others.
Gut a length off the 4x2 about 3 inches long, come in from either end about an inch and drill the way through the block. It is a good idea to mark your drill bit the length of your bottle and drill to that mark. But do not drill through the block.

My first attempt.

What you will need a short length of 4x2 pine. A miter box, saw & drill sized to fit your gold bottles.
