Something different for me, some small clocks, the faces are 70mm to give you some scale. Ive had the faces for months, thought I better do something with them.
Cone is Huon Pine
Napoleon is Myrtle
Art Deco is Huon Pine with Jarrah, Blackwood and Myrtle wings.

Not bad for the price, but I usually still stick to AM stations. AM/FM kits go for <$10 to >$100. Perhaps I will go back to my crystal set days with a piece of Galena and a wisker. I would walk around with one that I built into a pair of earphones when I was a kid.

Yesterday and this mornings efforts, thats it for the week, appointments galore to finish the week off.
Small mantel clock has a 70mm face and is made in American Oak.
Little train is a prototype, I think Ill make some changes, looks too heavy to me.
Trucks Ive done before. Did 5.

Been soldering away in my shed for the past few days putting together a RDA5807 FM Digital Radio.
Quite a challenge, but got the results today when I powered it up.
It actually worked chucking out a few tunes from 105.7FM.
Just have to fit it to the clear Perspex case and it is finished.

Completed and now fitted in the Perspex case.
Powered by USB connection.
A very interesting and challenging project and the ransom was a mere $33.00.
Had my doubts along the way, persevered and it ended successfully.

My son years ago bless him bought me a fm transmitter kit to make. Took me like 20 hours or so and so much stress trying to work the flipin thing out.
Finaly got it to work. I said please dont ever buy me another one of these kits :lol:

After 36 yrs working with electromechanical and digital circuitry within PMG. Telecom, Telstra the only soldering I do these days is to make all my 12v Solar connectors including Anderson plugs electrically sound.

Jaros, my background is with nuts and bolts however about 30 years back got bored building dryblowers, sluices etc, decided to have a play with the soldering iron and build a few simple projects. Studied electronics and identification of all the required components.
Today there are so many kits, relatively cheap and the worst thing that can happen is making smoke when a component fitted incorrectly fails. Believe me there were a few instances.
Next project down the track, may have a go at building a simple robot?
Saw one years ago that would bring you a beer but was bit pricey and beyond my skills.

Mate, have a look at Ardunio or Raspberry PI!! You will be blown away with what you can build at home nowadays!
