How much work do you want to do Muk, if you leave it and touch it up a bit it's done :Y: if you buff it it'll still need something to protect it from the weather. The tank is it stainless or mild steel. Maybe make another and then you've got one of each

Still quite sick. Had this bloody flu for over 3 weeks now. Slept most of today, but mid- afternoon, I needed fresh air. Spent some time just chilling in the back yard, then pottered around in the shed for a bit. I could have done a lot more, but I took it easy today.

I've been using scraps from a neighbour's skip bin, some plastic coat-hangers, shower fittings and the demolished timber from my pergola as I tear it down from over the Viper and prepare for the renovations where it stands. Beats buying timber. It's nice Oregon and very well seasoned.

All the bits in the fuselage side avionics access panel are just sitting in there for now. I have to recess the opening a little more and then create a back-board to fix them all to, align and pretty it all up with some more visible bolt heads and a little effects paint.

Thanks for the comments the tank is mild steel could put clear laqure over it or just let it rust up maybe I should add wings cheers Muk.

Muk, it would look good if lightly rusted. then put a lacquer over it to slow down the rusting.

I'm about as much use as tits on a bull when it comes to metalwork but I do like to dabble with a bit of wood. Wife likes to listen to music on her iPad so I knocked up a little speaker stand. Surprised at how well it amplifies the sound.
All from scrap and about an hours work to complete inc being polished.

Now that all the greeblies in the avionics access panels are made, I have to recess the opening further in, until nothing is outside the level of the skin of the aircraft.

Had a crack at some junk art today have a few people wanting me to make some things this is from a old water pump cylinder not sure if to leave paint on or buff it off some of my family like the paint others want it buffed what do you think? Take it all back to bare metal, leave it out in the weather until it gets surface rust then hit it with some clear coat :Y:
