Today I COOKED.

Here's what was for lunch today.
I fried up some Orange Sweet Potato and a couple of thick slices of Royal Gala Apple.

And while I was frying up some Free Range Eggs I sliced up a bit of Craft Colby block cheese.

Mrs S was a bit dubious, but I told her it all worked well together.

And it did ,... It was delish, and the best thing was, we didn't need any bread.

I agree. The sweet potato,egg and cheese do work together. I would usually have some dark rye with something like this.

I seen the apple there and thought to myself,"why not".
Trying to break bread out of the cycle Jaros, bit by bit over time, just have to get used to cooking a few different meals along the way is all.

I'll have to try that.
I cooked for Mrs Ramjet Friday night. We had roast pork belly.

Before gravy shot. There was no pics once the gravy was poured.

Small pork loin tonight. The crackle was perfect. had that really nice hollow sound when you knocked on it.

Cooked up this lamb leg on the "mini" Weber the other day

Just added a bit of oil, garlic cloves inserted into the leg, some mixed herbs and anchovies on top:

Full chimney of "robot turds" and a few banksia pods for that Aussie bush smoke flavour:

Shank is looking good!!

The Dragon spat the dummy the other night, said "you never cook", so I cut up 4 onions, simmered them with marg and dash of water, pinch of salt until soft; added 3 left over spuds and 2 desert spoons of curry. simmered till thick and had with left over snags. Havn't been asked to cook since, but it was bloody good tucker. 8.( :lol:

Good surival food.
My father had to cook his night meals quite a lot as he was always coming home way after 6 o'clock closing chrissed as a picket and mum not very happy at all.
So he used to survive on potato and onion soup "quite"a lot.

Potato and Onion soup, ah Jaros would that have the same effect as - Sausages, fried onions, fried eggs and baked beans. Was a favourite out in the scrub "when on my own" hehehehe!

Well, we've got the fire pit ready for toasted marshmallows after tea.

Just having a quick and greasy tea.
Chicken schnitzel(oven cooked) and chips with normal salt.
This is how I prepared Mrs Silvers.
