With modern understandings we can now recognise that the stupidest place to fight a war is on a battlefield.
The Smartest way to win a battle is to not fight one , to fight one without being identified as the enemy , or to engineer influence where two adversaries are tricked into fighting each other.
The new wars will be fought with covert undermining of economies and through control of social media being used as a weapon of influence over opinion.
This is currently being done experimentally against New Zealand , where trolled engineering of social media within that country has created an illusion that 80 % of the country dislikes PM Ardern.
