The secrets out Its got to be Baringhup

Myself and the boss cook went for a day out today spent a bit of time around some old haunts in Dunolly, Maryborough, Moliagul. It was a bit bloody hot to dig so we decided to go and have a closer look at Baringhup which sits on the top end of Cairn Curran reservoir.
Now we have been looking around for a place to shack up in our later years that provides a central detecting start point. Well if you are a fisherman as well, by crikey Baringhup is it.
Lots of places for sale on 4-10 acres right near the reservoir!! 30 minutes from Dunolly, same to Castlemaine, absolutely perfect.

We were looking at Echuca but this place is now on the top of the list. All of this and its only about an hour from where our kids and grandkids live.!!

Wheres your ideal retirement package located !! and what gems have you found? I reckon Ive found mine.

Awesome gt......a lovely part of Vic and right within gold country on fishings doorstep.

Its a great feeling when you come across that special place and you just know in your heart...yep, this is it.

Go for it mate, a couple acres, a few chooks, a goat or 2, a vegie garden and a retirement life of peace and serenity.

Nothing can beat that i reckon......the odd gold nugget and a few redfin to boot.

I was at Welshmans Reef a couple of months ago. It is a great area, it would be nice to retire out there on a few acres for sure

Yes its a beaut spot that's for sure!
There was plenty of of people enjoying water sports too. From fisherfolk to skiers to those dreaded jet skis. Many people set up gazebos and the bbq and made a day of it.

Yep there were even people kicking about in Hawks jumpers so you would of been at home meta.
