the Hand of Tuena nugget found on the Weekend

I named her the "Hand of Tuena", second pan in the flogged area got me really excited. Wife was able to pick this little beauty right out of the pan and take the photo.

Unfortunately a bit premature getting the mini highbanker out, nothing better came along but it was still fun to add her to my little collection.

A really relaxing time, was able to forget about work woes and live the dream for a couple of days! Sydney to Oberon, then down to Tuena, through Crookwell and Grabben Gullen and then down to Goulburn before heading back to Sydney. Was a nice adventure!

Great to hear you had a good trip Peter , I did a similar trip in October over the lwe , it was my first time over that way. , we went from Sydney to Oberon then cut through Bald Ridge to Tuena , fossicking and fishing , as you said great way to leave the stress of everyday life back in Sydney and go on an adventure , life's short.

Too true, was great just to sit there and relax, nice clean camp area and friendly fellow campers. The Tuena local store was also a godsend, cheap wine and $20 bucks for a 6 pack of Coopers an acceptable price a walk away from camp!

Unfortunately Malau I cant get back there for a while given the plan to do Nundle in January. Definitely a great route for NSW prospectors.
