Hi Everyone
Thanks for the add
I've panned for gold and sapphires in NSW before , I don't have a detector yet but I will be purchasing one soon ,so I'll be snooping at what your all using... Hope you dont mind ,still not sure about what I'll be getting yet ... Any pointers for a beginner would be great, currently doing my research on several places at the moment , north and south of Sydney.

Hi and welcome
Lots of different detectors out there but it depends on the funds you have to spend
if you can give me an area i will see what i have

Hey marksman
Budget is not an issue
But I will need something I can shove in water (cause I might fall in a river ,creek or small body of water ) and I won't be happy if I stuff it.

Ok i run a gold monster 1000 the coils are water proof but the rest is not
its good but there are better out there
The others will jump on and tell you their choices that will help you

Top left there is a magnifying glass hit that and type in detector and press enter then have a good read

Welcome to the forum Missy, something with number ID and about 3 metres depth of waterproofing sounds like what you'd be wanting . :Y:

Can't help you with the best detector, but ...
