I am making a test area for my 4500 in some red dirt near me. Was thinking of using lead in 1 gram increments starting at 1 inch then same at 2 inches and so on. Any thoughts please.
I think you might need to go a bit deeper with your increments mate, I would think the 4500 is going to pick up a gram piece of lead pretty easily at 6 inches
A good test is to bury a target/s at about the limit you can detect it with the stock 11" coil.
That will give you a pretty good base for testing other coils against the stock.
Repeat for different sized & even shaped targets.
