Talgai at Pratten

Hi All,
Im heading to Pratten and would like to get my hands on a map of the areas mine shafts up at Big Hill.
I spent quite a bit of time up there in the 80,s with a guy setting up a wash plant and crushing plant but never got to see it up and running. Now have a 4500 and plan to spend a bit of time up there as its only 30 minuets drive from home. Hope someone has some details or advice of where to get some. Willing to share any advice of my knowledge of the areas also.

There are plenty of places out there that are better than Big Hill. I never found anything there at all. Most of it was very deep.

Hi Panter,
Im currently at Pittsworth so its only a 20 minute drive. I know the area really well as I help set up some of the infrastructure quite a few years back.
We washed about 20 tons of material using the old truck thats still there. From memory we managed to get about 4 oz with a few bigger specks included.
The plan was to open cut the hill and cart it down the hill to the crusher at the Sutan Taylor mine bit it all came to a halt. We did put a few hundred ton thru the crusher thou from the S/T mine. Never seen the outcome of it.
