Stroud Find

Hi All,

I was doing a quick detect with Xterra 705 at Stroud near the old canons on the hill the other day and dug this up.

I only opened the little copper or brass capsule today and found a little aluminium (too light for silver) figurine that looks like a Queen in a robe. There is quite fine detail on it that my mobile phone cant pick up.

Looks like is a kids toy/locket??? from the 50s ????

I have no idea about the origin etc but that is a cool find. Following with interest.

My guess is its a small travellers 'Our lady' metal statue. (you know - Jesus' Mum).

often you will find a small stamp underneath that will represent its maker, I think loamer's pretty spot myself, looks like a crowned mary
