Heading out for a first proper day out detecting and was looking at going to Steiglitz historical park, mainly as its pretty close as have the family along too.
Just wondering if firstly is there a definitive answer as to whether detecting is allowed here?
I've done a forum search and from what I'm reading seems to be a grey area.
Also is anyone familiar with the area as I have never been, looking at google maps it looks like we will be parking at The crossing picnic area and wandering from there.
If anyone is familiar with that area are there any pointers as to is it a good spot just for some fun detecting or is the crossing a good starting area?
