Spiral Wheel with Water Wheel Project

Hi guys

I have been looking at various panning gear on the market, my shortlist is a Spiral Wheel and Reverse Helix Trommell.
After a bit of a think I have decided to start with the Spiral Wheel.
This is one of the commercial kits.

As this is battery powered it is illegal in NSW, with my design I am planning on incorporating a hand crank to turn/rotate the wheel and a water wheel to lift the water to the top of the wheel and discharge across the riffles.

Additions will include an auger that is also powered from the hand crank handle that will feed paydirt from a bucket size hopper onto the wheel.

After I build the first prototype I may look at incorporating a trommell basket to the front of the spiral wheel.

Has anybody seen one of these in action IRL?
Do you have any suggestion or ideas to look at incorporating?

Ive seen them used to cleanup concentrates a spoonful at a time , you have my interest though.
