On the radar , some very heavy rain off the coast south of Sydney . Looks like it might make land fall on the south coast .

Planning a trip up there in coming days looking at BOM for the coast and Snowies not looking fantastic.

I know the fires went through only not so long ago as well.

This will be my only window for a few months and of course Ill speak directly with those I want to see but any info is good info.

More asking do you think the conditions will be ok for travelling or should I just forget it?

TIA.

From what I can see , expect some rain . If you can put up with some rain , then you will be alright .

Hi OGT.
Been raining here on and off for about a week. Drizzle at the moment. The next few days will be more of the same. OK for travelling but its a bit too wet for outdoor stuff.

I've been in shorts and no shirt for the last 3 weeks. Plse no mental pictures. Inside 27.6C and Humidity 69%. Heaven.
Watching Trip in a Van on the Gibb River Road. We got to El Questro and stayed a cuppla nights. Nice cold beers as well.

I look at bom and weather zone a lot here(south coast) lately to try to predict work days and prospecting days. 90% for 10-20mm here today, it was All over by 11am and I'm in the creek right now.
If it rains again when I'm here I just chuck my wet weather's on and work through it.

Thanks guys. Less a holiday with activities more visiting those I havent seen for a couple years so will try and take the safest way up and stick to the beaten path while getting about.

Better pack the wet weather gear by the sounds of things.

Heavy rain, flooding and if the storm system is still anything like it was when it passed over Perth in the early hours of yesterday morning, awesome thunderstorms and plenty of large hail! What could possibly go wrong?! :cloudy: :cloudy: :cloudy:

BOM forecasts heavy rain, flooding as more wet weather descends upon eastern Australia:

Cheers Grubstake this was the exact reason I was asking.

Usually I would go in summer at least every second year, and around the same time checking on bushfires and storms. Through commitments and Covid Ive not been up for 4 years. If a big one was coming thought the locals might be able to advise me to delay.

Last thing anyone needs is an extra person moving around if conditions get harsh.

Thanks for the info.

Bit of wet around :p

Depends on where you are going, I live in Araluen and we are saturated, the road to Moruya is still closed due to slips, the rd to Majors Creek is closed due to slips (may not reopen ever) and all of the creeks/rivers are running full, prediction is another 70 to 80mm next three days, if that comes off I will be flooded in again................this will be the 7th flood event since the fires.
