Dear All,

Following a kind suggetion, I'd like to share some of my finds in the Northern Italian mountains, where I live when not gold prospecting in Australia. 😄
Unfortunately I realised that I don't have many photos here with me - plus I have to be sensible with what I post...
Anyway I'd like to start with what is probably the best/most important and valuable coin I ever found:

Hammered Vatican silver coin, Leo X, circa 1515, triple R (RRR) for rarity:

I include the link to another example that sold at auction for 3800 EUR (over AU$6000):

https://www.numisbids.com/n.php?p=lot&sid=360&lot=24

I hope you'll like it, and of course please do post some of your European relic finds too, if you ever detected over there!

What a find, congratulations! Yours looks to be a higher grade example than the linked one too, with less wear/more visible details.

Thanks so much! I really appreciate your point about higher grade! Yes, it is in amazingly good condition if we consider that it spent the last 500 years buried in the ground and not in some collector's display case...
