Where can I buy some small gold pans in Australia at a reasonable price.... Lost my small one today and a few of my mates are keen to give panning a go as well... :)

you can get them from bcf for 15$, I dont know where to get seives from, so I do the old mesh over bucket trick to classify down

When I was learning to pan I was doing sluice cons into a bucket and then redoing them. Lost too much with the black pans, went to the garret 10" and 14" and stopped losing gold. I can do a full Garret Prospector 14" pan in a creek in under a minute and I am confident I am not losing any gold - to the point that I don't pull gold out of the pan just load it up again and go... They are expensive but the little sunken section is a virtual guarantee that you won't lose gold.

Thankyou for that guys.. I lost my small pan off the back of my mule sunday... 100 mile ride.. could be anywhere.. I will do a better job loading it next time.. I have created a shortcut to the sponsers website and will check out bunnings as well.. :)

Hi, anyone know where I can get a small pan for doing my cons?

Yeah Ok atomrat, tried ebay but they're getting expensive now. Will try the search as you said.
