sine wave inverters for charging ipads/phone

I am to use a HPM 4 Outlet Individually Switched Powerboard connected straight to my 1Kva Honda EU Invertor Generator so I can plug in my AGM Battery charger, my Detector Battery charger and Phone charger.

Now the HPM Powerboard I currently have only has Safety Overload Protection so would I need to have one with Surge Protection included in the Powerboard as well ?

I should have phoned up the Genie supplier, as I have now done so for the answer, before I posted my silly question here.
