Hi Everyone, been rock hounding and detecting for 4 yrs now. Looking for friends and locations to go with as I don't have a 4x4 so limited to where I can go. Heading to Rushworth today since the rain has gone through. Fingers crossed. Cheers

Good time to go after rain. Look for erosional surfaces after rain.
Those are areas where soil would be washed away rather than gather eg slopes and temporary water channels etc.

A great way to get out onto the fields is joining a club of which there is many. They tend to have outings every month and I'm sure you would be able to get a ride with the members. Hi @Meggsy dont go out much these days but I know the surrounding areas all within a comfortable drive radiating out from Shepp.
