It depends on the terrain of the sand - look for rocks and places treasure could get wedged in when the tide pulls the targets back into the ocean. Where ever the gutters and rocks are - that's where you want to look - it may be at the waters edge or it may be several metres into the water. I have found that the hard sand with corrugations on it from the wave action doesn't hold much - it's the rocky bottom I have luck with but as they say - the treasure is where you find it!
