G'day all had a play around yesterday with my sdc with some steel bearings to see how deep I could pick them up results as follows/ small roller bearing 15mm long 10mmdiameter weigh 24.55g 23cm .
30mmround ball bearing weight 130.12g 35cm
Roller bearing 63mm long 24mm diameter weight 242.60g 38cm easy all with headphones.
Ground read 73 on my AT gold Whipstick Forest bendigo.
Also picked up 2little bits .08and .11 hope this was of some interest cheers Muk.
 
G'day vstrom no I didn't but I have found a 1.3 gram bit at about 15cm was screaming also .5 gram at about10cm and several tiddlers at all different depths cheers Muk.
 
Nice bit mfdes sdc amazes me hopefully can put the coil over something bigger than sub gramers cheers Muk.
 
Thanks for the depth comparison info.. I used my SCD for the first time last week and I found a piece of lead shot down at about 15cm. no gold to compare it too or scales to weigh but was certainly less than a gram. I was pretty impressed it could pick something so small up at that depth.
 
G'day OCA81well done on the shot I've found shot of all different sizes at all sorts of depths,SDC pics up some tiny stuff sometimes I'm not sure if I'm getting a signal so scrape some off the top still not sure scrape some more then turns into a clear signal most times shot or tiny bit of wire
There must of been a lot of shoguns being used in the old days cheers Muk.
