SCAM ALERT: AU Heavy Machinery

Just a question to any Victorian farmers who may be part of the forum. Has anyone had dealings with the company AU Heavy Machinery from Altona. Ive been browsing their equipment and the prices seem to be far less than they should be. Any help appreciated. Cheers

I can't find them at all via Google - that's VERY unusual. Where are you seeing their advert?

The web site looks ok, except for a minor typo, but if you don't get any response from forum members I would be going and paying them a visit and have a good look at the gear, taking someone familiar with the type of gear you are interested as a separate set of eyes.

They are likely looking for sales as CovID19 will have limited the people walking in from the bush.

I checked their address in Google StreetView but there doesn't seem to be an 84 Drake Boulevard - the highest numbered location that I can find is 80. In fact, I can't see any sign of an AU Heavy Machinery anywhere in Drake Boulevard.

So then I tried a reverse image search for each of the team photos on the AU Heavy Machinery About Us webpage (https://www.auheavymachinery.com/about-us/ ). Hmm... their "Lucas Kelly" is actually a photo of a Florida USA real estate agent, John DeMarco! Here's the pics for comparison:

AU Heavy Machinery looks to me to be as fake as a $3 note, mate - it's gotta be a scam and my advice is to stay well clear.

Well done , i did the same when i read the OP , google streetview is a handy tool !.

The tractor prices are way too low.

Try making a report on it through Crimestoppers.
