Running a dream mat sluice

I have just bought the gold rat 888 sluice (dream mat) and I’m after a good video or a few pointers on how to efficiently run this thing, I was sluicing in a place with a lot of black metals, and I’m not sure if I was cleaning the sluice too often? Or not often enough? I was running about 20l of classified material through and I was getting gold specs in the lowest part of the sluice so I am assuming I was losing some gold, how should I correct?

We would need to know sluice angle and water flow rate, material feed rate. Many variables.
All of your recovered gold/heavies should be in the top 1/3 of the launder.
