rock hounds new to cairns

Hi guys

My hubby and i are new to cairns. We are rock hounds and also love to prospect for gold anf fossick for crystals. Any ideas where to go also interested in joining any clubs involving trips and meetups. We live in Kuranda. Any advice would be.great.

starting the first Saturday of each month

Hi rock hounds ,really good camping at obriens creek out from mount surprise Topaz and aquamarine,or go crevicing for gold at hodgekinson gold fields north of dimdulah good camping at tyconnell or ikes. Good luck
