MINING magnate Gina Rinehart is trying to find a new Bendigo goldfield under Victorian farms.

Was doing some research into the Raywood area and came across this article about Gina trying to get to the gold.
Made me feel sick to my stomach.

I assume she is still trying? as this article was from 2015.

They tried and were successful in finding one of the richest deposits
near Laanecourie.
But,
It is 100 meters under one of the largest aquifers in Victoria.
Method proposed to extract gold was to frack it with chlorine.
Government Canned it straight away.
Gold is still there.

It would appear that it's never enough. I think sometimes it stems from needing approval. She never seemed to get it from her dad now she has to get it by being number one at everything. Just an observation.

That area of Victoria to the north of Bendigo has been hot territory for a long time. Some fantastic intersections have been made there but followup has been difficult. One of the attributes of Bendigo style gold deposits is that they are almost impossible to prove up by drilling alone. You need to completely understand the structure of any deposit including what causes and localises gold accumulations. This is as a result of what is known as a nugget effect where almost all the gold occurs in discrete blebs rather that more evenly distributed throughout a load. This would make any form of chemical extraction totally useless and I doubt that any form of chlorine chemical extraction would even be proposed in this day and age. Chorinisation plants existed in the past as an alternative to roasting and was quickly replaced by carbon processing.

Maybe she was looking for the gold so she could buy the Kidman properties without the Chinese.
