Evening Ramjet,
You seem to have an affinity with great detecting sites and the wonderful collection of relics and coins they give up, great to see.
Cheers, SinHof.

Thanks Sinhof. As you know, research gives results. I feel I have some VERY stiff competition... specially in the beach detecting department. You had an awesome hunt today.

Met up with Rocket, Lonely Silver and a couple of other locals today. Seven of us at the start of the day. It was a long day but some great finds all round. My highlight is the Rising Sun. Only the one silver coin for me today but I got a silver pendant and a couple of American dollar coins. My oldest find is an 1878 penny.

One of the boys got a lovely brass/bronze swan. It's about 6 or 7 cm high.

Not sure... either a paper weight or just a trinket from nanna's mantle. ;)

I joined Rocket for his after work detectorsize today. We'll worth the effort. We returned to a site we hit long ago when we had less experience. Learnt a few lessons on the xp vs small silvers. Rocket got a small silver spill and his 2nd full house.

Huge thanks to SinHof for the invite down to the beach this arvo. Was great to catch up with Sandta as well, been a while. Rocket showed up after work and bang... 5 pre decs in a couple of minutes.
I got 3 thrips and 3 different designs. The Vicky thrip may be 1850? Also a small 925 toe ring. Was a nice couple of hours.

Pity about the circumstances, though hard to ignore an opportunity when it arises. I wonder how many people would own detectors around your hometown?
