I was bullied at school. Then when I was 15yo I entered the Navy as a Junior Recruit. Bullying at HMAS Leeuwin, where we trained for a year, was accepted by many as part of a "toughening up process". Many of the thousands of boys who went through HMAS Leeuwin went on to suffer PTSD later in life. AND, many have taken their own lives since. The government has been and will to continue to pay out compensation to many of those who suffered through "the toughening up process".

I'm also happy that you are still with us Bella.
This world would be a darker place without you in it.
Keep your posts coming.
Dave.

Yes, it is rough out there. I had multiple craniofacial facial operations as a kid so I had to learn how to fight. Amazingly even a large group will dissipate when you take out there leader and make an example of them. Had to do this every time I changed school or met a new group because they would try to bully me. As for this poor girl and considering the added pressure of social media I am not sure how she could have coped. Girls can be really nasty to each other in a psychological way.

I just heard on the radio :(

RIP

Sad news indeed. Hard act to follow. I once read one of his books called " A brief history in time " A lot of it was hard to understand I will admit. He was just one of those shining stars like Einstein and professor Julius Sumner Miller who's catch phrase was "why is it so " R.I.P. Stephen Hawkins.

Without his circumstances he'd a been a different man... he'd a been driven by physical ability like the rest of us. A brave man in the face of adversity who rose high enough to give us shoulders to stand on. :Y:
Sadly missed Stephen 8.(

Part of his legacy will be that he was intertwined with popular culture for years.

Some of his most memorable appearances being The Simpson's and The Big Bang Theory.

Far beyond the complex world of science in which he was a giant he was able to connect with ordinary people and for such a distinguished man, this was both generous and quite rare.
