Nice one Ramjet I'm sure to have many more great memories too. Some of my favourite are just coming home from being away from them.

I reckon they'd question that RJ if you turn up in your Aussie Day outfit :8 , The eldest will take to detecting like a duck to water holding and swinging that hockey stick is the young mans version of what you do holding and swinging the old mans magic wand. I'd be proud as punch too mate good on him some great achievements

I loved Ice Hockey. Great for getting the aggression. I was only a mug player but enjoyed it very much. Full contact and if you smacred someone up the head you got a 2 minute penalty and back into the game.

That pic brought back memories so I went looking for the Web page I used to run . Haven't seen it in years but it's still online with all the pics. A couple more

C for captain.

Never got hurt myself. Jamie, the eldest broke a goalies collar bone through her protective gear. His shot has been locked over 140 Kays an hour.
You can tell a hockey player's priorities. They started wearing protectime box for the family jewels in 1874. Helmets came 100 years later. :D

I never wore a face cage which is why I have teeth missing. A 17 year old smacked one out in a pick up game one night. He said sorry but I think he actually enjoyed it.

cool pics, national masters champ, not too shabby! Violent game, it mustave appealed to your evil nature lol

Absolutely Rocket. You are lucky I've mellowed a little. Could take your head off with the At Pro.

Jamie's only fault was his temper. A clever coach or player would piss him off and all he would do was chase the offender and beat the crap out of him. Once he lost his cool he was useless.

That was the first year they had a Masters division and you had to be 35 or older. I was 34 and they let me play. All the kids thought it was a bit of a joke because we were "old" coaches, managers and parents. Ended up being the closest fought games in the whole competition with the biggest crowds. Awesome fun.
I also was also a referee and my ex was one of the leading score keepers/officials. It was our life for about ten years.
I had a key to the rink and we would have pick up games late at night with about 50 players. As the night went on the younger and less keen went home, leaving the hard core players, and me, playing until 3 or 4 in the morning. Good times.

And look where you've ended up Rocket!!! And they said you'd never amount to anything    Sorry mate, couldn't resist it ;)
