So far found this.Any ideas? It looks like a top to something it had a bit on top which yours truly accidentally broke off then when cleaning flush down sink!!

My mum used to use a water. Bottle with a similar sort of lid when she was ironing with a Mrs Potts iron
She would sprinkle water on the cloths while ironing to help get the creases out
