prospecting around Alice springs,

I've been in Alice Springs for awhile know, coming from Bendigo with my trusty gp 3000 and sluice i purchased from gold rat used twice. since living i have obtained a gpx4500 and a dry washer from Roe engineering and i'd like to go searching for gold ( been to tennant creek but a bit lost because first time there, i was told of a couple of places to go and try haven't been back due to work commitments) i am not keen on heading out alone lots of thing that bite out there . so i was looking to find out if there is a group in Alice Springs,

The two main places out from Alice Springs are Winnecke and Arltunga.
Both of these areas are on cattle stations, and obtaining permission can be difficult because of people doing the wrong things in the past.
A mate and I found many ounces out that way in the the 6 years ( 2001 -2007 ) I swung a coil there. He is still there and reports that the pickings are slim now !

We bumped into a cuppla blokes, miners at a motel in the Alice in 2007 and they were cashing in their gold at the time-very eager fellas-to get back there. I wasn't chasing yella at the time but they were out off the Plenty Hwy somewhere and advised us to stay off it as it was in real bad condition. So, we drove down to Port Augusta on our way home thru the Adelaide Hills, Brkn Hill, NSW to Bris.
