Possible meteorite find in Daylesford?

Pretty sure the woman who presents scientific/space related info on 3AW indicated this morning that on seeing and holding it she doubts it's a meteorite.

So it's certainly not an iron meteorite then.

True grubstake. However only 5% of meteorites are iron meteorites. If it is light, it is a bit unlikely to be a meteorite, but a microscopic thin section will rapidly come up with the answer.
