Hi everyone, we are a small gold mining operation in Papua New Guinea. We are looking for a 4inch or 5inch gold dredge. From what we have read on the internet it seems the Proline dredge would be more durable than Keene. Please if anyone can tell where we can buy a Proline dredge and please tell us any other information that might help us. We are also looking for gold buyers.
Thank you in advance and God bless.

Thanks for having the time reply Gold Miner. Can you please tell me their website. I can't find it on the internet.

Thanks Nugget and Gold Miner. From my searches I have found that there will be a long wait for the Proline dredge. I found another brand called Keene which is supplied by Prospecting Supplies Australia, based in Melbourne. I was told either to wait 6 months for the Proline dredge or I can buy the Keene. We want to dredge for commercial purposes and not recreational. Please share with us your thoughts on both brands and is there someone you know we can contact? Thanks again.

Keene have some commercial dredges including 'Nessie'!
It depends on your budget I suppose??
These big dredges would come from the US I would presume.
There's not much here in Australia because dredges are illegal here. (except on a mining lease in Mareeba mining district)

Just a word of warning guys.

Be careful buying gold from PNG,
As I understand it you have to be a citizen of PNG to deal in PNG gold and have some sort of dealers or export licience up there.

Check the PNG laws before buying gold or you could end up in hot water. ;)

A friend of mine got done big time.

Thanks for your concern Keen Ken. We are PNG citizens. We are saving also to obtain our PNG export license (which costs K80,000), which is why we are also looking for overseas buyers. We are currently selling our fine gold in PNG to ISPL in Port Moresby, but we are only getting K100 (one hundred kina per gram) for our fine gold tested at over 90%. We have videos of our land and receipts of gold we have sold in Port Moresby, PNG. We are currently in Australia to buy equipment and hopefully find good buyers. We will not engage in any illegal activity. We are hard working and honest people. We have a belief that if we do any wrong then we will not find any gold as we believe dishonesty will bring us bad luck. What we seek is help in knowledge of quality equipment, honest buyers and honest advice, which is why we joined this great website.
Thank you all for your valued help and advise.
God bless.

Png 100k per gram is very good mate that's around 46.5AUD
add 5 to 10 % for refining cost
Here you would be only getting 44.5AUD per gram 21.6 karat as you said 90%

Good luck with your venture :)

Thank you Gold miner, Nugget, ivanII, Keen Ken and joe. Much appreciated for your great advice and help. Cheers

Cheers gold miner, I know couple of brokers only paying 75% of the current gold price. It's a hard and risky game to be in.

Mate, let me start by saying your probarbly not going to get much/any response, by 'first' post being about wanting to buy a dredge,
Secondly, if you don't go into explain your reasons for wanting to purchase a dredge, then I'm guessing you won't find much help either.
It's a touchy subject being that this is a Prospecting Forum, and the fact that it is illegal in Australia.
There is a forum member here who was/is building dredges for customers outside this country to the best of my knowledge.
Try a brief introduction of yourself like PNGDei, and you might find information more forthcoming.
Welcome to the forum mate, best of luck :)
