I have both back and shoulder injuries and a spinal specialist recommended a banana, boomerang or u shape pillow. Best thing I ever got as can get in a good position around me and under me.

I am myself a very poor sleeper, 3-4 hours max. I am now thinking about one of those Japanese round pillows. In the past I have paid up to $150 and these days , hygiene issues you cannot take the pillow out of the plastic wrap so you really dont know what you are buying.

Yes I forgot to mention the Bamboo cover that came with mine. It's amazing stuff bamboo, I've got a pair of socks that I use when I go detecting that are made from it, and they somehow hold all the sweat and keep your feet bone dry. The comfort is amazing too. Only problem is when you wash them they take forever to dry (the socks, not my feet)......

As for Latex giving off heat, that can be a problem with Latex mattresses and pillows unfortunately. Only one night I thought mine seemed a little warm and I mentioned it to Mrs Deepseeker, and she said that sometimes that can be a problem with latex. It started me wondering if it's a problem for people who wear latex gimp suits, but before I could give the problem much consideration I fell asleep anyway and slept like a log.

I reckon a lady's stomach makes for the best.
Some nice gurgling after a few beers and you're straight to sleep.
Trouble is, I haven't had one (lady - not beer) in 10 years, so I use a ***** pillow
