Please, stand in the middle of the road pointing and debating which cafe you'll get your latte from!!!!

I think that is a global thing, It does wind a person up, sometimes it is best just to count to 10 and proceed on your journey. :Y:

Its not a bush turkey its a gold turkey and it was trying to tell you to park up and follow it into the bush with the detector !

In Bright itself it has always been bad and from the freeway at Glenrowan all the way to Bright you can often be doing 70-80 k's the whole way. Long weekends are the worst. But there is always 1 guy who wants to do 120 kph all the way and passes caravans on blind corners, etc.
Last autumn was the worst I have seen it. Tourists taking pictures of the bloody leaves changing colour!!!! Stopping their cars right on the side of the road (drivers side tyres still on the white line of the edge of the road). Then they open the car door out onto the road in a 100 kph zone and just hop out. Sometimes leaving the car door open whilst they stand at the front of the car taking pictures. The very worst little yuppied tool actually stood in the middle of the lane and put his hand up to indicate that I should pull up so he could get his picture I didn't
Yes Ridge Runner, I should be calmer O Sometimes I do just laugh at how stupid they are. It is just amazing how they don't seem to care less about a vehicle hurtling toward them
Sorry for derailing your thread goldchaser - it would be nice if I only dealt with your turkeys

Same for one and all when it comes to Drivers and Pedestrians for me.... if they're not with the program then I drive in a fasion that will help them through their dilema in the safest way possible for all concerned.... and it makes me feel good to do so. Same reason I let people out of parks (someone will do the same for me sometimes)Swinging & digging said:Ridge Runner said:Northeast said:School holidays. Bright, Victoria. I recall driving through the Oven,s Valley around 20 years ago in peak summer tourist season, on the Highway all the Melbourne tourists were doing 45 km/hr in 100 km/hr zones and drifting on to wrong side of the road. They were distracted by the very scenic view i guess. My mate i was with at the time said that the drivers should be wearing those things they put on horses as to not distract what is to the side of their view?
I bet its way worse now! With more people than ever, i tend to avoid tourist locations in peak holiday seasons.
