Passing of Hill End Local, Robert Anderson

Many of you who have been to Hill End and had a beer at The Royal Hotel would have run into Ando.
Sadly he passed away on Sunday morning from a medical condition that he had.

Ando was a 5th generation local and was very happy to impart his knowledge of the history and gold mining in the area. I know many of the members here who have met me at Hill End have also had a few beers with Ando
He was a close friend of mine and will be sadly missed.

I have not been to Hill End yet Bob but i can reflect on a couple blokes that sound similar to Ando and yes the world is a better place to have known them.
