I thought that they were all .925, maybe the other 7.5% is different or maybe it's just the extra 50 odd years in the ground. I've also noticed that the Victorian silvers seem to be in way worse condition than most of the Aussie ones round here.

Todays cleaned up finds.. the safety chain do-dad says 9C. 
My first outing today for a few weeks and scored two Georges and an Eddie.... very happy !

I would particularly like to know what the brass shield is from.... there are no markings on it at all.
The site is a historical farm which morphed into a early petrol stop come repair shop in the 1920/30s. Some old and not so old finds there.
