Not entirely sure as the front end is missing but I thought maybe M series Bedford, she could tell you a few stories about how young trucks these days don't know what hard work is!

We spent two weeks prospecting in a faraway land. So far away that there were vans, campers and quads everywhere. Someone out there has a big mouth and has opened it wide in the last 12 months it seems. Oh well, its always nice to share cough, cough.

We visited an old mining area where we had to drive up a really scary, narrow track winding up a very steep mountain with massive drop-offs on the sides. Everyone else panicked and refused to take their vehicles (much easier than ours) and they all walked up. I have to say I was tempted to join them. They thought we were crazy I have to say I agreed with them.

The view at the top was amazing as was the infrastructure left behind. I really wanted to take the little rocker shovel and railway wagon home but didnt. Some nonsense about it being too big and heavy.... pffft.

I did take the Metters cast iron nameplate, though. Everyone else walked past it or stepped over it and didnt spot it. I love it.

There were lots of old vehicle parts lying around including a Model A Ford engine and the gearbox with three pedals because there was no gear stick at that time. The casting says NOV 1920. Awesome.

Then it was off back down the mountain risking our lives while everyone else risked their ankles. A great day out.

Back in the 60's the telephone no's were all like that ,the first two letters indicating the telephone exch area and the rest were the customer in the area.

Ok, now I understand why nobody answered. It was a Saturday when Mrs M tried to call to see if they were done with it. Perhaps they don't man the exchange on the weekend :(
