....an yeah lead is a dollar a kilo

Clean soft lead is around $1.65 a kilo
but lead heads with nails in, or dirty lead is only 10 cents a kilo.... so worthwhile project to do a melt.
If only I could find the fella making sinkers (he moved) cause hge said he'd pay double.... so maybe making sinkers or leadbelt weights could be a value add even furthermore than the scrappo's. cuttin out the middle men ]

It is was a penny. Probably flattened by placing on train tracks
