This is what the farthing should look like

I can faintly make out the Brittania figure to confirm it is a farthing
I think ill clean (strip) with citric or salt/vinegar
There is no real value to it and it is unrecognisable as it is , so no drama i guess

We don't see many farthings come out of the ground.

I followed up on a private permission this morning
I was excited by the description but the reality was not quite the same ... Unfortunately

Both pennies were in the same hole. There in pretty good condition... Nice patina

This little mickey mouse badge is also in pretty good nick.(the pin on the back is missing but the loops are still intact)

Not sure what this screw cap lid was off.
It crumbled as i started cleaning it
Pretty cool though

This morning i headed off to try to follow up again on a lead i was given (an old church that burnt down )
This was the fourth time i have traveled to this property , trying to track down the land owner
But .. Alas , no luck again
So i decided to drive on a bit further to see what was there.
Found another hall about 30 kms away

Initially i thought this button was a real prize , but now home and cleaned up ... Its not really

A brass tap handle

A couple of small silver ones

And a '65 mustang

On the way home i decided to stop in to the property again
Glad i did ... Got permission
And was given another lead to another hall (also burnt down)
Followed the directions i was given to the land owners property ...
And got another permission
What a great day !
