on the beach

Iam going over to anna bay on Thursday for 5 days iam going to take my gpx5000 . Give it a go on the Beach. We have a on site caravan there.

You will have quite a choice of beaches in the area , you can go all the way up to Soldiers Point , & the other way to Shoal Bay & Fingal Bay. I have seen the Bully Mullet in the 1000's come right up to the shore at Fingal & you could dive & grab them , average 3 to 5 pounders . but who eats Mullet

I cleaned out most of One Mile to a hundred meters either side of the surf club 2 weeks ago. Sorry. Plenty of other beaches I haven't done yet though I just got in the door from Tibooburra and buggered but it looks like I better do Little Beach tomorrow if you're on the way I'll come and say hi if I see you out swinging

Bloody awesome. The gold was small, a lot was sub .1 and the drive from Broken Hill to Tibooburra in the dark is still giving me nightmares but it was still bloody awesome. I'll put a post together with some pics after a good sleep

There is also the old Gan Gan army camp off Gan Gan rd between Anna Bay and Nelson Bay. I've only been in for a swing once and there is heaps of trash but undoubtably some ripper finds to be made

Hey Stevo,

5K on the beach is awesome, I use mine all the time (2 bob @ 1mtr down) flick it into salt mode and drop the gain down around 8 keep away from surf life saving radio towers and you will have a sweet day.
