Old mines.

Hello I'm very new to this site I love reading all the information that's put on. I would really love to know how you find out the location of old gold mines. I love to read and take photos of the old gold mine working but I find it very had to get location on the maps. I looked at the state library and still have trouble. Any help welcome.

Hi Kinglake38, welcome to PA.

If you are in Victoria, then Geovic has some good information when it's working (it's down as I type this, and it's not unusual for it to crash on weekends). It's free and lets you search many things on the maps including old mines, leads etc. John Tully also makes some good maps with old mines/ shafts etc shown.
