Found this old bottle when i was digging around a broken pipe at my parents place ( the old station masters house at Denman ). Not too sure how old it is but it has the name RM.Gow and Co pty.
From my findings to do with bottles, it was an tonic in there, many old bottles contained differ mixes of herbs and spices, I have a couple, one doc Bay tonic , 1870 approx, with it having a screw cap, approx 1938-40, most were transported around the country by horse and cart ans sold for four shillings approx, winter time they use to increase the price, hope this sheds some light as to what and when it was around
Thanks for that info had never really been into old bottles but ive been doing a little research and found it to be pretty interesting. Just finding out where they come from and the history behind them.
