NSW Detecting

We are travelling up towards Canberra/Maitland and I'd like to know if I need a Miner's Right's for NSW.Any info is helpful.

in a fossicking area no you dont mate but if you are looking at going into a state forest yes you do need a fossicking permit, this link should help you out mate

As Jamie said... only need a permit in State forests for NSW.Fossicking in National parks is NOT allowed. Most public spaces are ok but some local councils have banned detecting.
