I live in Ballina and although I know Central West area pretty well, I am learning about areas in Northern NSW.

The short story is that I used to live in Sydney and am quite familiar with Central West NSW. No exploring Drake area and next will be investigating up the hill from Coffs Harbour. I really want to go to Tibooburra but not comfortable going solo.

Hi Ballina1,

I posted a reply on another thread.

I plan to head out to Tib in end of Aug for a week, if you have the time off then you are more than welcome to tag along as I have never done that trip before either.
My partner is from Woolgoolga and I head that way often and take a detector, haven't found anything yet but plenty of creeks to look at. I know there is aFB page that a fellow has that he posts on occasions of finds in the hills of Coffs. I will be heading to Woopie next weekend if you want to catch up for a beer?
I would be keen to converse with you about the central west and Coffs area, as I am still learning the NSW goldfields. I am originally from WA so that's where I have done the majority of my detecting.
